Within public health, obstetrics and gynecology hold a critical place, as they encompass both maternal and child health. One of the primary responsibilities of public health is to take preventive measures before disease develops and to implement strategies that avert the occurrence of illness. Priority should be given to promoting preventive medicine through gynecologic cancer screening tests and vaccinations such as the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. Strengthening collaboration with public health units to prevent diseases and protect maternal health, as well as the health of future generations, and acting jointly to advance women’s health are key aims. In this context, sharing developments and defining responsibilities constitute the main objectives.
