Dr. Ceren Ünal is an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist currently practicing at Koç University Hospital. She received her medical degree from Eskişehir Osmangazi University and completed her residency training at Zeynep Kamil Women and Children’s Health Training and Research Hospital.

Her clinical and academic focus includes comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, with a particular emphasis on cancer survivorship, female sexual health, and sexual medicine. She has a strong interest in improving quality of life after gynecologic cancers, addressing sexual dysfunction, hormonal changes, and psychosocial challenges faced by women during survivorship through a holistic, biopsychosocial approach.

Dr. Ünal’s research interests span personalized vaginal drug-delivery systems, vaginal microbiome, pelvic floor function, and sexual medicine. She serves as a principal investigator and researcher in nationally funded projects (TUSEB, TÜBİTAK), with a focus on translational research and innovative medical device development.

Actively involved in medical education, she delivers undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in obstetrics, gynecology, communication skills, and sexual health. Dr. Ünal is a member of several national and international professional societies in obstetrics and sexual medicine and regularly participates at scientific meetings.
