Prof. Dr. Engin Oral graduated from Kabataş High School for Boys and then from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, graduating third in his class. He continued his clinical specialization in obstetrics and gynecology at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He began his training in IVF and reproductive endocrinology in 1995 at the Department of Reproductive Endocrinology and IVF at Yale University Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic. Between 1993 and 2019, he worked at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. Between 2020 and 2023, he served as a faculty member at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bezmialem Vakıf University Faculty of Medicine. He is currently working as a faculty member at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Biruni University. Some of his areas of expertise include: Reproductive Endocrinology (Endometriosis, Contraception (Birth Control), Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Menopause), Infertility Treatment (Infertility - IVF), and Endoscopic Surgery (Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy). Among the associations where he serves as a board member are: European Endometriosis Society (EEL) - President (2018-2020) and board member (2016-2021), World Endometriosis Society (WES) - Board Member and Secretary (2019-Present), Turkish Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Society – Founding President and board member (2009-Present).
